1.  Zt-2 Model 2010 : More than a Wideband AFR/Lambda Meter

The Zeitronix Zt-2 Wideband Datalogging System is much more than a wideband meter.  The Zeitronix Zt-2 Model 2010 Datalogging System has features for reading many different types of sensors and signals, has both linear wideband and narrowband outputs, supports a warning/triggering system to save your engine or boost performance, and provides similar data to what one might expect with a trip to the dynamometer.  The Zt-2 System is a very high quality device, is very simple to use and is made in the USA.

Inputs:   Sensors:
AFR/Lambda   Bosch Oxygen Sensor Input
RPM   Tachometer signal, ignition coil ground, crank or cam sensor.
Boost (MAP)   50, 75, 150 psi range Zeitronix sensors (3.5, 5.0, 10 bar)
EGT   K-Type thermocouple
Throttle position   Throttle position sensors
User1   Any 0-5 volt range sensor
User2   Air Temp. sensor, Oil/Water/Transmission Temp. sensor,
50, 75, 150 psi range pressure sensors (3.5, 5.0, 10 bar),
0-5 volt range sensors

Outputs: Signal: Use:
Serial Data Output RS-232 LCD, ZR-1, ZR-2, DashDAQ, ZDL and PDA displays
Analog Wideband Output 0-5 volt Aftermarket ECU and 3rd party data logging
Simulated Narrowband Output Signal (adjustable) 0-1 volt Stock ECU input to smooth idle RPM or save gas
Warning Output 0-5 volt Trigger the ZAVT-1 Alarm/Trigger device

  • Configure outer LED ring and inner digits independently

  • Simple installation with a single connector and no external power connections needed

  • Gauges include splitters for running multiple gauges and datalogging

Select between LCD configurations showing:

  • LCD top row values of:
    "Lambda + AFR", "User2 + AFR", or "Lambda + User2"

  • Rename LCD the User2 name to AirT, OilP, or any alpha-numeric value -- symbols are also an option!

  • Bottom right value showing:
"Boost", "Throttle Position Sensor" (TPS), or "User1" data (for any 0-5 volt sensor reading)

  • Simple installation with a single connector and no external power connections needed

  • Gauges include splitters for running multiple gauges and datalogging

3.  DashDAQ Series II Tips

The DashDAQ Series II has features for viewing, logging, calculating and converting data.  Here are a few interesting features which may be useful when using the Zt-2 and DashDAQ display...

  • View logs from the DashDAQ using the Zeitronix Data Logger software on a PC.  Set the Log File Type to Zeitronix ZDL 3.0 and create ZDL files by default.  These files can be viewed by the Zeitronix Data Logger software version 3.0 and higher.
  • Convert values: AFR to Lambda,  Analog (User) input to Pressure, and any other data values using the Rescale Signal Calculator.
For information and these and other features please see the DashDAQ Series II FAQ.

4.  Zeitronix Data Logger 3.0.3 Released

ZDL 3.0.3 Features include:

  • Preferences Dialog option added for setting screen text update rate --
this provides easier readability of on screen text when data is being logged.

  • Online and offline help links.

  • Export to .csv or .txt files supported.

  • Fluid temperature sensor support.

Please see the Zeitronix Data Logger Page to download the latest release.
Release notes are also available for the latest and previous releases.
