1. Getting Started with the Zeitronix Data Logger software
a. Important changes from 2.0 ZDL software
Support has been added to allow logging multiple Zt-2 Wideband systems
simultaneously. For instance log a dual channel exhaust system using
two Zt-2s to read left and right AFR/EGTs/Boost. Additional possibilities
include setting up readings of Fuel pressure on the second boost input,
or using the latest version of the Zt-2 to read air intake temperature,
water temperature, oil temperature/pressure, transmission temperatures,
and more (see "Important hardware changes" below for more details).
b. Connect to your Zt-2
1. if using a USB to Serial adapter make sure the serial adapter
drivers are installed. Plug the adapter into a USB port.
2. Connect the Zt-2 to your USB adapter or Serial input.
3. Use the Menu option "Hardware" --> "Connect to devices..."
4. At the bottom of the Connections Setup window press the button
labeled "Scan for Zeitronix Devices". Results will appear
similar to the following:
Com Ports Open (no data read) : 0
Com Ports Open (unknown device): 0
Com Ports with devices detected: 1 ---> COM1
5. Change the "Port:" used by "Device 1" to match the detected COM number.
6. Make sure "Device 1" is set to "Connect" and all others are set to "Off"
NOTE: If the COM detected was between COM1 and COM8 one of the devices
will be automatically selected. Turn this device off and use "Device 1"
only. Additional devices can be setup if more than one device is found.

b. Operation
- Zeitronix Data Logger files (*.zdl) have additional features.
Device setup, viewing details, markers, are all stored within the file.
- Shortcut keys can be upper or lower case.
3. Important Hardware Changes to the Zt-2, ZR-2, and LCD Displays
a. Date of new hardware availability (available now!)
Zt-2s, ZR-2s, and LCD displays purchased from Zeitronix after 10/7/2009
will support the new Zt-2 User2 input and new display features.
b. New Zt-2 with versatile temperature/pressure/voltage sensor input
The new Zt-2 User2 input directly supports the use of Air/Water/Oil
temperature and pressure sensors. Read air intake temperature,
transmission temp, coolant temp, and more! Plus standard 0-5 volt
readings.
User2 input also supports all current Zeitronix pressure and temperature sensors!
c. New ZR-2 display options
The ZR-2 now supports viewing User2 values from Zt-2's with User2 support.
d. New LCD display options
The LCD now supports viewing User2 values from Zt-2's with User2 support.
Exchange Lambda or AFR values for User2 information on the display. The
User2 input also supports all current Zeitronix pressure and temperature
sensors.
