1G DSM ECU is located in the center console, underneath the
radio. First you need to remove center console carpet kick panels held by
two screws. |

Here is passenger side kick panel. Arrows are pointing at
both screws which need to be removed. You can gently bend carpet panel to
access ECU bolts. |

This is drivers side kick panel. Arrows are pointing at both
screws holding the carpet. |

Here is 10mm bolt holding the ECU on the passenger side. |

Here are two 10mm bolts holding the ECU on the drivers side. |

After removing three 10mm bolts slide the ECU towards
passenger side of the car. There is almost enough slag on the wiring harness
to put the ECU down on the floor. You may want to unplug three yellow
connectors at this point by pressing on tab and slowly pulling it out. DO
NOT pull by wiring harness. |
