|
Loud 95dB audio buzzer with a bright red LED and a relay trigger signals the alarm.
APPLICATIONS
AFR too rich The alarm activates when too rich mixture is detected.
AFR too lean The alarm activates when too lean mixture is detected.
A combination of AFR too rich and AFR too lean alarms can be used to tune for a specific AFR window.
EGT too high The alarm activates when EGT exceeds a safe user selected level.
RPM too high Shift-light functionality with a bonus of audio alarm and a relay trigger.
TPS too high The alarm activates when TPS exceeds a selected level.
USER1 Input too high The alarm activated if a sensor connected to the USER1 input exceeds a selected level.
USER1 Input too low The alarm activated if a sensor connected to the USER1 input is lower than a selected level.
Relay trigger Open or close a relay circuit to activate or deactivate additional devices at a set warning level. Typically used to add a control to your boost setting, nitrous or alcohol injection and other devices capable of engine destruction.
The Audio Visual Warning and
Trigger Box alarm is activated by Zeitronix Zt-2 Wideband AFR Meter. The audio
alarm can be deactivated by adjusting the switch SW1 inside the box. The visual
alarm and a relay trigger are always active.
The ZAVT-1 blue wire connects to the Zt-2 Warning Output (white wire with a blue
stripe).
Open the Zeitronix Logging Software. Connect the Zt-2 Wideband AFR Meter into a PC COM port and power up the Zt-2. Make sure the log graphs are shown on the screen. Then open the Warnings and Triggers menu by selecting SETTINGS, WARNINGS/TRIGGERS

The parameters can be
selected as a Simple or a Complex Warning.
A Simple Warning is set when any of selected parameters exceed preset warning
level. Simple Warnings are independent from each other.
A Complex Warning is set when all selected parameters exceed preset warning
level.
In an example below a warning will be activated if the EGT exceeds temperature of 920C
OR if the Input1 exceeds 3.4V.
Also, a warning will be activated if the AFR mixture will be leaner than 12.8 AFR
AND at the same time the boost level exceeds 23 PSI.

Of course any other
warning combinations and warning values can be set by using the ZDL software.
The alarms are saved in the Zt-2 flash memory and kept after disconnecting a PC
laptop or disrupting power.
Zt-2s manufactured after Jan 22 2007 have additional alarm duration feature,
which keeps the alarm active after the alarm condition is removed. The alarm
duration can be setup between 0-240 seconds.
OPTIONAL RELAY CONNECTION
The Zeitronix ZAVT-1 box
is capable of triggering an optional relay at a preset warning level. Connect
the ZAVT-1 WHITE wire ONLY to the negative side of the relay; otherwise, leave the
WHITE wire unconnected and protected from accidental connection to any other
signal.
Relay wire colors correspond to relays purchased from Zeitronix.

ZAVT-1 is compatible with the Zt-2 Wideband
AFR Meter REV 9 or higher. Zt-2s purchased after May 9 2006 are compatible and
support Simple Warnings.
Zt-2s purchased after September 1 2006
support both Simple and Complex Warnings.
You can check the Zt-2 compatibility by accessing Alarms window in the Zeitronix Logging
Software Version 2.0.8 or higher.
Open the Zeitronix Logging Software. Connect the Zt-2 Wideband AFR Meter into a
PC COM port and power up the Zt-2. Make sure the log graphs are shown on the
screen. Open the Warnings and Triggers menu. The following message is displayed if
an incompatible Zt-2 AFR Meter is detected. Contact
sales@zeitronix.com for a possible Zt-2 upgrade.
